Challenge
POSITION realized that, even with its last-mile solution, ROUTE, not all of its clients were planning their routes in an automated way. Many of them were planning manually, with no way of knowing whether their loads, routes and deliveries were truly optimized. That gave rise to the challenge of democratizing access to automated route planning and sequencing, bringing optimization to every company regardless of size. To meet it, POSITION offered a complete solution with a route optimization module, adding significant value to its last-mile offering.

Solution
After researching the options available on the market, POSITION decided to integrate the "Maplink Platform Planning" API into its ROUTE platform. What drove the decision was the flexibility the API offers, allowing the company to adapt to each client's specific requirements and deliver optimal results across countless variables, such as time windows, distances, fleet capacity and fleet availability, as well as its cost-quality ratio. With Platform, POSITION has had a route management solution in place since 2019, used to manage transportation logistics and the distribution of routes and orders, adapting to each client's business goals and reaching companies of every kind.
